There's Plenty to Do in Augusta

While the eyes of the world are focused on Augusta one week every April as the elite of professional golf and their legions of fans descend on the Augusta National Golf Club, the city of Augusta does not roll up its sidewalks the other 51 weeks of the year.

Augusta has experienced phenomenal growth over the past few years with its establishment as America's Cyber City, its booming retail and industrial expansion, a growing and respected medical community and residential growth everywhere you look. And along with all that growth has come a wealth of new things to see and do every year.

Great food, great golf, museums, the arts, the canal experience, unique and eclectic bars and restaurants, entertainment venues with internationally famous artists, there is always something to see and do in Augusta.

This is never more evident than that single week when Augusta defines for the world what good old Southern hospitality is ... with a twist.

Shopping

Augusta has been the shopping mecca for east central Georgia and west central South Carolina for more than 100 years. With everything from quaint shops to a sprawling vibrant mall, Augusta offers something for everyone.

Restaurants

Good food. Good drinks. Good friends. Good times. Augusta offers it all, but good food is the catalyst for the good times every April in Augusta. In addition to its golf heritage, the city is becoming known for its cuisine.

Golf Courses

Augusta is golf and it is no surprise that the area is surrounded by world-class golf courses, public and private. During the tournament, these courses open their gates wide for out of town guests, but it pays to get a tee time well in advance.
