Looking to Play Golf?
Augusta is golf and it is no surprise that the area is surrounded by world-class golf courses, public and private. During the tournament, these courses open their gates wide for out-of-town guests, but it pays to get a tee time well in advance.
Masters Housing Bureau would like to present three of these excellent courses (and a bonus fourth) that you can experience while visiting Augusta for the Masters Golf Tournament.
West Lake Country Club
If you stay in the West Lake community, which you can do through Masters Housing Bureau, you receive access to their exclusive, award-winning golf course, featuring exceptional hospitality services and an unparalleled culinary and banquet team for events.
West Lake Country Club is only a short 5-mile drive from the Augusta National Golf Club and sits on a 700 acre site, featuring seven water features across its 18 holes. West Lake is sure to challenge and reward any level of player.
Forest Hills Golf Club
Founded in 1926, Augusta University’s Forest Hills has long been a cherished fixture in Augusta, Georgia’s golf community. This 18-hole course boasts a rich history dating back to its early connection with Bobby Jones. Originally designed by internationally acclaimed architect Donald Ross, the course underwent a renovation by the Arnold Palmer Company in 2003. Forest Hills serves as the home course for the Men’s and Women’s Jaguar Golf Teams and further cemented its place in history when the Men’s Team defended its 2010 NCAA Division I National Championship, capturing a second straight national title in 2011.
In addition to its affordable pricing, the course offers a driving range and practice facilities, along with a bar and grill and a banquet venue. Located minutes from the Augusta National Golf Course, Forest Hills is a convenient place to improve and enjoy your game while you stay in Augusta.
The Patch – Augusta Municipal Golf Course
The Patch is set to reclaim its place as one of Augusta’s most exciting and welcoming places to play golf when it officially reopens on April 15th. Long known as a beloved community course, The Patch is returning with renewed energy and thoughtful improvements designed to enhance playability while preserving the laid-back charm locals have always loved. Its central Augusta location and approachable layout make it an ideal option for golfers of all skill levels, from beginners picking up a club for the first time to seasoned players looking for a fun, relaxed round.
Whether you’re squeezing in a quick round after work, introducing friends or family to the game, or simply enjoying the outdoors, The Patch’s reopening marks an exciting new chapter for Augusta golf and a must-play destination this spring.
